How Much Does a Green Pool Cleanup Cost in Arizona?
Short answer for the East Valley: green-to-clean recoveries start at $300 and typically run $300 to $700. Here is what moves the number and how we decide which method to use.
What changes the price
- How green. Light tint after a week away is a two-visit job. Swamp green where you cannot see the steps is a week of work and more chemicals.
- Filter condition. Killing algae is half the job; filtering it out is the other half. A clogged cartridge or old sand means a filter cleaning or media change on top.
- Pool size. A 10,000-gallon play pool uses a third of the chemicals of a 30,000-gallon pool with a spa.
- Water chemistry. If calcium hardness or cyanuric acid are far over range, chemicals will not hold and a drain is the honest answer.
Chemical recovery versus drain and refill
Chemical recovery keeps your water and works when the chemistry underneath is sound. A drain and refill costs more up front, including the water, but on a pool with years of built-up stabilizer or calcium it is cheaper than fighting the water for a month. We test first and tell you which you need, in writing, before any work.
